Uh- Invincible, I'm Superman. Kal-El- I was only calling to contact you and check how you were doing with all that's happening lately.

I hope you and... Atom Eve are alright? [A side 'who the is Atom Eve' in that sentence.]

...It's a company my girlfriend started and we figured we'd bring it over here. Except less in the "contractually protecting places" like back home and more of the "call here to tell Invincible and Atom Eve there's a problem as we don't have superhearing."

Atom Eve is my girlfriend, by the way. She just showed up recently--I'll introduce you when everything's less crazy.

Also, we're fine, other than missing our powers... How about you?

'Protecting places'? Like- security or something like that? Interesting. [He's kind of against using his powers to get money for himself, but he gets it.]

Fine other than my missing powers sounds right, but I've lost them a couple of times over the year. I'll deal. Do you guys need any kind of help?

Yeah. When there's trouble they call me and we guaranteed I or someone else from the company would come to protect it. [Normally Mark is too, but they really need the money to get their own place. It's not like he can get a normal job, and his government money dried up when he, you know, fought the guy that paid him.]

Not really. I'm just worried I'm going to be useless when... [He promised not to say Malicant's name.] the threat comes.

[There's so many ways something like that could go wrong, but Mark isn't the type of guys who would let things go wrong to begin with. So he shrugs and goes with it.]

You would hardly be useless. We might not have powers but there's plenty of things we can do- have you had any kind of training?

[Oh no, it's a dumb idea in the scheme of things, but it's the only thing they can think of so...]

I still vaguely remember how to to fry fries?

I wasn't exactly superhero material before I became a superhero.

I would. I'd have to talk with Eve, but I don't see why she wouldn't either.
